overrated

formerly known as "i make pretty pictures" because as a graphic designer, that is actually what some people think i do for a living, this blog will now be titled, "overrated" for a variety of reasons i do not feel like explaining. the focus will be somewhat eclectic, though sports, design, the arts and pop culture will be featured more and more. because these are the things that interest me.

OK, I'll take little ms princess blog up on the "who were you in a past life" challenge.

results:
Korea, around the year 1650.
Your profession was that of a warrior, hunter, fisherman or executor of sacrifices.
Your brief psychological profile in your past life:
You were a sane, practical person, a materialist with no spiritual consciousness. Your simple wisdom helped the weaker and the poor.
The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation: You should develop your talent for love, happiness and enthusiasm and you should distribute these feelings to all people.

thats right baby!! Warrior, executor of sacrifices, yeah!

I know its been about half a month but lets see you have a 3 year old, a 7 week old, a fulltime job and then find time to blog.
Anyway
I think I did something illegal. My wife and I were driving up into Waterloo to take a look at the place that we are sending our 3 year old to for preschool. At a red light I see a car turn left towards us, hear a loud smack of flesh, two legs and an arm suspended above the top of the car and the car then screeching to a halt. The right side of my brain, trying to be all creative tells me that the car simply hit a pylon of some sort. The left half, being a little more logical tells me that this car just hit a person.
The diver of said car gets out and as he/she (couldn't tell) rounds the back of the car, a person (damn, it was a person) jumps up, high enough that I could see his waist above the car!, rips his backpack off and throws it to the curb and begins screaming and hollering at the driver. The driver tries to console and I can only assume apoligize to the pedestrian.
Then our light then turned green. So what are we to do? There were multiple other witnesses so we simply followed the flow of traffic and left. Was that wrong of us?
This turn of events had me a little shaken for the rest of the day.
